HIV/AIDS Prevention : For Those Who Are Not Infected

Anyone would not want to contracting HIV/AIDS. This disease is still difficult to cure, although there are drugs that can inhibit the bad consequences of HIV, but still less as expected by the patient. The most permanent way to combat HIV/AIDS is to break the fabric of disease transmission, or prevent it.
Preventing HIV/AIDS
To prevent HIV/AIDS, among others:
- Understand HIV/AIDS and educate the others. Understanding about HIV/AIDS and how this virus is transmitted is the basis for preventive action, spread the knowledge about it to other peoples such as families, friends and relatives.
- Know your HIV status of your sexual partners. Having sex with just anyone make the perpetrators of sex is very risky HIV infected, and therefore know the HIV status of sex partners is very important.
- Use Qualified Condom. Besides making ejaculation slower, use of qualified condom during sex quite effective in preventing HIV/AIDS transmission through sex.
- Avoid infection through blood transfusion by ensuring a safe transfusion.
- Use new sterile needles. The most rapid spread of HIV/AIDS is through sharing needles with people alternately with positive HIV status, transmission through needle often occurs in IDU (injection drug user).
- Doing circumcision. Many studies in the year 2006 by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) showed that circumcised men have a risk about 53% less than those who do not perform circumcision.
- Be careful with the risk of transmission to offspring, by not giving milk to her baby.
- Test HIV regularly. If you are someone with a high risk than HIV testing should be done regularly, at least 1 year.
For HIV Patients
HIV is difficult to know just by sight alone. With HIV at an early stage generally looks normal or healthy. Once infected for 5 to 10 years of new experience symptoms such as:
- Losing weight drastically
- Diarrhea sustainable
- Swelling in the neck and / or underarm
- Cough continually
HIV blood test done to ensure that HIV infected. Positive for HIV / Aids, to stay motivated and do not give up. Because the spirit of the people will be able to maintain immune from consequences of HIV/AIDS. Do not forget to keep using the medication given by doctors.
